I've got a couple of stories.
The first involves kissing. Finny, for some reason, does not like to get kisses from his mommy. However, when I got to Heart of a Child to pick him up the other day, his teacher Gail told me that his classmate Sasha had been sitting next to him at lunch. Sasha leaned over and kissed Finny on the cheek. They both got happy looks on their faces. Then, Sasha kissed him on the forehead. Gail said it was very sweet. When I asked Finny if Sasha had kissed him, he said, "Yeah, and I liked it!"
The other story shows that, kisses or no, Finny still loves his mother. Recently, Finny and Bonnie were sitting in the kitchen. Finny said, "Mommy, I want to be a guitar player when I grow up."
Bonnie replied, "You can be whatever you want when you grow up, sweetie. Are you thinking about growing up?"
Finny said, "Yeah, but I might miss you!" and burst into tears.
Later, he said, "I want a banjo when I grow up."
Bonnie said, "I think you can have a banjo when you grow up."
Finny looked concerned and said, "But I still want to live at your house!" and burst into tears again.
